Yesterday, Deadline reported that “iCarly” co-star Jennette McCurdy has signed a new deal with UTA (United Talent Agency). The talent agency represents such big stars as Johnny Depp and Harrison Ford (one of Jennette’s favorites) and plans to work with Jennette in areas of television, film, and music.

Congratulations Jennette on her big announcement!

While “iCarly” begins production on its fifth season next year, is it possible that Jennette’s new deal might mean the fifth season will also be its last? The report announced work on a television pilot that would act as a starring vehicle for Jennette and stated that she plans to segue from country music to pop.

In case you missed it, “iCarly” star Jennette McCurdy held a fun live chat with her fans to answer some questions and had friend and costar Jerry Trainor join her on the phone. What made her live chat more interesting than we could have imagined is that Jennette called “Victorious” star and friend Ariana Grande to get her involved in the chat. Unfortunately, the call went to voicemail and, well, Jennette forgot to mute some important numbers.

After just returning home from hosting the 2011 Australian Kids Choice Awards, where she won the L.O.L. award — Jennette also came home to another award — a Brazilian KCA!

“I won the Brazilian KCA for “funniest character”?! You guys are so nice to me! I am honestly tickled that I make you laugh. (irony?)” she posted.

Congratulations to Jennette McCurdy! Only days after winning the LOL award at the Australian Kids’ Choice Awards, the Nickelodeon star has recently won the “funniest character” award at the Brazilian Kids’ Choice Awards! Here’s what Jennette had to say about the honor:

“iCarly” star Jennette McCurdy has been through a lot over the years with her mother’s fight with cancer. She even wrote a powerful article about it in The Wall Street Journal a few months back explaining how the life of a child actor is never the perfect one people make it out to be.

This week, Jennette got a chance to watch “50/50″ – a comedy/drama following a man who is diagnosed with cancer and learns he has a 50/50 chance of beating it. Written by Will Reiser and directed by Jonathan Levine, the film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick and is rated R.

Here’s what Jennette had to say about the film:

Do you plan on seeing “50/50″ in theaters? Have you or a family member been affected by cancer?

Jennette McCurdy has been doing well with her show iCarly and music career, so she is bound to win awards. Luckily, she hasn’t had to wait since the Australian Kids’ Choice Awards awarded her and Nathan Kress for their roles. If you remember that they had a big story line earlier this year, which they won the award for at the show. However, they also both got an unpleasant surprise during the show. You can watch the whole event unroll out in the video down below this post.

I am so happy that she is finding success! I think that she is sometimes overlooked since she is not the main star. However, I understand that the show is not mainly about her character, she is more like a supporting role. Maybe they can provide her a spin off show of her own? That way she can freely be the star like she should be, or at least that is how I feel.

Are you glad that Jennette and Nathan are being honored? I wonder how they felt? I am sure that they were likely pleased with winning, but they aren’t exactly icons of their generation. Maybe they can find success in other shows as well, preferably shows that will allow them to be the stars. Don’t get me wrong, iCarly has been a great service for them-but I just feel that they need more justice than that shows serves them.

Maybe they will visit “Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures” star Tiffany Espensen, who has been there for the last week, visiting Bindi Irwin at the Australian Zoo, hiking the rainforest, and biking the Gold Coast!

Are you planning on watching the Kids’ Choice Awards? Who do you hope wins?

Tonight at 8:00 is the premiere of the “iCarly” episode “iQ.” In the episode, Carly meets a smart, British boy and tries to impress him by lying about her own intelligence while Freddie tries to convince his mom to let T-Bo move into their apartment after being evicted from the Groovy Smoothie.

We’re sure this episode is going to be hilarious and Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) will find herself way over her head, but there is another reason why we’re excited for this episode: Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Freddie (Nathan Kress).

Last episode (iLove You), the two stated that they would break up at midnight. So, what does that mean for them now? Will the show’s writers just discard the recent Seddie story and go back to having each episode unconnected? Or will Sam and Freddie’s relationship continue to develop as the season goes on?

We’re anxious to find out!
